This Series 1969A $1 bill was issued for only one year and is among the first to feature the new treasury seal. A portrait of George Washington and the New York Federal reserve District Seal are on the face. The back shows both sides of the Great Seal. When a note is damaged during manufacture, is is replaced by one bearing a star beside the serial number. Star Notes are scarcer than other issues. With green seal and serial numbers.
