1934-1935 Germany Silver 5 Reichsmark, Potsdam Church

Unfortunately, the occasion coincided with Hitler’s rise in Germany – leading to the symbolism on the coin’s obverse.

Built in the 1730s during the reign of Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm I, the church burned shortly before the end of WWII in Germany.
