National Bank Notes
Over 12,000 national banks issued paper money between 1863 and 1935 that were called National Bank Notes. Denominations of $1, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 were common, though some National Bank Notes were printed as $500 and $1,000 denominations, too. It is estimated that today only 363,000 National Bank Notes exist and some are extremely rare and hard to find..
