1842 Liberty Seated Half Dollar, Medium Date VG

The historic Liberty Seated half dollar was struck in 90% fine silver from 1839 to 1891. In its 4th year of issue in 1842, the size of the date on the obverse was enlarged to the "medium date" numbering offered here. Though well over 160 years old, the 1842 Liberty Seated half dollar is still moderately priced in circulated condition.
