1866 Indian Head Cent Brown

This lovely third-year bronze Indian is absolute Gem quality and has a Gem appearance. Its medium golden-brown color is enhanced by violet and mint red. Indian Head cents were coined annually in Philadelphia until the end of the series in 1909 and in San Francisco in 1908 & 1909 only. Designer James B. Longacre's initial "L" is found on the lower ribbon, behind the neck of the Indian.
