The 1885 Morgan dollar was struck in 90% fine silver at the main U.S. mint in Philadelphia – which was also the original U.S. mint. The 1885 Philadelphia issue bears no mint mark, and was produced in relatively large quantities. A good number have survived for more than 135 years, as the 1885 Morgan silver dollar is available and attractively priced in all grades. This is a great opportunity to acquire a historic 19th Century Morgan.
