1898-O Morgan Silver Dollar MS64

The 1898-O Morgan silver dollar was struck in the late 19th century at the New Orleans Mint. While this "O" mint mark issue was being produced, the Klondike gold rush was in its heyday - yielding its greatest yearly output. However, it was estimated that only one in a hundred prospectors ever found enough gold to make the arduous journey worthwhile. Gold rush days were emblematic of the "Wild West" where silver dollars found their greatest popularity!
