The 1914-S Barber half dollar was struck in 90% silver at the San Francisco Mint. This half dollar series of 1892-1915 is named for its designer, Charles E. Barber, whose initial b can be found at the truncation of Liberty's neck. Liberty is portrayed wearing a Phrygian cap and a wreath of laurel. The reverse is an adaptation of the Great Seal of the United States, depicting a heraldic eagle grasping an olive branch and arrows. Get the historic 1914-S Barber half dollar today.
