Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Fort Vancouver. The obverse features John McLoughlin, who built Fort Vancouver on the Columbia River in 1825. The reverse depicts a pioneer settler in a buckskin suit, holding a musket. The fort is shown in the background. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, although the 'S' mint mark was omitted.
