1998 Trans-Mississippi Stamp Sheet

To honor the 100th anniversary of the Trans-Mississippi Exposition, in 1998 the Postal Service issued these commemorative stamp sheets.

• Each stamp printed in two colors, like the originals were intended to be!
• Due to the Spanish-American War and a need for revenue stamps, 1898 originals were printed in a single color
• Designs include 4¢ Indian Hunting Buffalo, 50¢ Western Mining Prospector and more – a total of 9 stamps in all!
• Sheet also includes $1 Western calle in storm design, considered the most beautifully engraved stamp ever issued
• Stamp denominations range from 1¢ to $2
• All 9 stamps (Scott #3209) are in Mint Never Hinged (MNH), Post Office Fresh condition
