Struck from A.D. 310-337 during the reign of Constantine the Great, the reverse of this bronze Follis bears a depiction of Jupiter standing, holding a globe topped with winged Victory and a scepter. Before Christianity became the empire's dominant religion under Constantine, Jupiter was the chief deity of ancient Rome. A portrait of Constantine the Great is on the obverse.
