The Jamul Nation’s Native American Quarters Series
Coins with Native American themes are increasingly popular, and this series acknowledges that trend (see Native American coin collecting is on the rise). The Native American quarters also benefit from growing interest in the Old American West (read Wild West, Wildlife and Native American themed collectibles are in demand).
Migration throughout the country
The early inhabitants of our country came to the Americas over a "land bridge" that existed from Asia to Alaska over 12,000 years ago. The various tribes gradually migrated south and east to every part of the continent and developed hunting, fishing, gathering and agricultural skills for the climate and geography of each region.
Each issue bears a unique design
The obverses of the Native American quarters in the 50-coin series depict a member of the featured tribe in traditional dress, along with inscriptions of the tribal name and the state where they resided. The common reverse bears a ceremonial headdress, the denomination and the inscription jamul sovereign nation signifying the Native American tribe that is issuing the series.
A custom folder holds all 50 issues
A custom illustrated folder has been created to display and protect this 50-coin collection of Native American quarters. Featuring traditional Native American colors and patterns, the custom folder contains labeled, illustrated spaces for all 50 coins in the series.
Authorized by the U.S. Government
These Uncirculated quarters are issued by the Jamul Tribe, which is recognized as a sovereign nation by the U.S. government and is legally authorized to issue its own commemorative coins. The Jamul people have resided in the San Diego area of Southern California for some 12,000 years.
Native American coinage enjoy popularity
Coins issued by or honoring Native American peoples have become a major collecting focus, and Littleton is proud to honor our native heritage as the exclusive North American source for this popular collection of Native American quarters (see Native American coinage is a fast-growing area of collecting).
