Series 1934-34A $500 Federal Reserve Notes

Thanks to an opportunity purchase, here’s your chance to own a scarce 1934-34A high-denomination note in affordable condition. Intended for interbank transactions and not for public use, as of June 1945, 74% of all $500 notes were redeemed and destroyed. The number of survivors has been shrinking ever since. Each features a green seal and serial numbers with Julian-Morgenthau signatures. President William McKinley’s portrait is on the face; the back features an intricately engraved design.
